Considered to hold mythical status, this species of dolphins feature in Greek paintings, when Greek sailors would observe them on their expeditions on the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Their body color shows tone variations in that the underside is very light colored while the upper portion happens to be darkly textured.
